The Provincial Grand Master, Tony Harrison, invites you once again to walk the bay in aid of the West Lancashire MCF 2021 Festival.

The main Provincial event for 2018 is the Raven Winder Walk, on Sunday 3 June 2018 at 1:00pm. However, for those who are unable to take part in that event or indeed want to participate in both, the details of the Bay walk 2018 are:

The Morecambe bay walk will take place on Sunday 8 July 2018 at 1:00 pm with Cedric Robinson MBE, the Queens Guide, leading the walk from Arnside Promenade across to Kents Bank railway station. In preparation for the day out walkers will meet at the Monument, Arnside at 12:30 pm prompt.

The walk will commence at 1:00pm and is a distance of around 8 miles, taking between 3 and 3 ½ hours. Parking is available on Arnside promenade or on Station Road car park (parking for 100 cars).

The scenery from the Lancashire fells to the Lakeland hills is second to none making the walk such a memorable outing. Recommended footwear is, old trainers, pumps, croc, old boots or even bare feet! as there are a couple of small channels to cross on the salt marsh.

All proceeds from sponsorship are in favour of, the West Lancashire MCF 2021 Festival helping them to help others. This is a Province wide initiative and sponsorship form will be available from your Regional or Group Charity Steward and on the Provincial website.

Please note: All proceeds received from individuals through sponsorship for the 2021 Festival, will be accrued, to that individuals lodge or chapter towards their patronage, so please ensure as many as possible take part and help your lodge or chapter to become a Patron of the Festival.

There will be an opportunity to show your appreciation to Cedric Robinson as a collection will be taken for his nominated charity. A signed certificate will be awarded to everyone on completion of the walk.

The views are wonderful.
